A: Alumni Association membership is
open to everyone. You may join online, or by visiting the Alumni
office, calling the Alumni office or by mailing your completed
application.

A: There are three types of
memberships: Annual Membership-$40 per year, Associate Membership (for
non-alumni)-$45 per year, Contributing Annual Membership-$75 per year,
Life Membership-$500, Paying Life Membership $110 per year for five
years. Recent graduates receive a free one year membership and

A: Membership in the UCSC Alumni
Association benefits UCSC students, your college and you. Thirty
percent of your annual membership dues supports special projects and
activities at your college. Click here for more information about

A: Your annual membership begins on the
day you join and is valid for one year from that date. For example, if
you join on June 17, 2006, your membership will expire on June 17, 2007.

A: Yes! The Alumni Association offers a
free first year membership to new graduates. Upon graduation, you will
receive a special offer in the mail if we have a current address for
you. If you don't receive the offer in the mail, please call or email
the Alumni Association, or click here to join online today!

A: Members of the Alumni Association
have access to term life, short-term medical, and catastrophic medical
insurance plans. For details on any of these insurance programs, please
visit Alumni Insurance Web Site or call 800-922-1245 and identify
yourself as a member of the UCSC Alumni Association.

A: Alumni Association members may use
the recreation facilities at discount after purchasing a recreation
card from the recreation office. Proof of membership is required, so
bring your Alumni Association membership card with you. Recreation fees
are based on a daily, quarterly or yearly basis. For details, please

A: Upon joining the Alumni Association,
your library borrowing privileges begin immediately at all UC campuses.
Present your Alumni Association membership card at the McHenry Library
circulation desk and a free library card will be issued.

A: Replacement membership cards are
free and available immediately by calling the Alumni office. We will
either mail a replacement card to you or you may arrange to come by the
office an pick up your replacement card.

search for any UCSC alumn yourself online. Click here to go to the
alumni online directory. If you are unable to locate the person you are
trying to find, the Alumni Association will assist you through the

A: Yes! It is possible to join as a
Paying Life member. The Paying Life membership fee is divided into five
annual payments of $110 each and you will also receive a free alumni
banana slug T-shirt.

Members take advantage of a one-time fixed membership rate -- and they
receive a free alumni banana slug sweatshirt! Your Life Membership also
benefits the university. The Alumni Association sets aside a portion of
its membership revenue to endow scholarship programs.
